The Revista Derecho y Cambio Social has been developing its scientific journal for over 20 years, aimed at promoting scientific progress, reporting on new research, essays, and reviews. The collection consists of a highly specialized international journal, covering a wide range of scientific analyses, submitted to peer review, which ensures the highest standards of quality and scientific validity in publication.

Revista Derecho y Cambio Social is an open-access journal that ensures free and public availability of its content on the web. It adopts a continuous submission process and bases its thematic scope on the dissemination of knowledge within the pillars of Law, Justice, Legislation, Jurisprudence, Ethics, Bioethics, Biolaw, Public Security, Forensic Expert Activity, interdisciplinary studies, and social sciences.

1. Content and Structure Editorial Compliance
Articles submitted to Revista Derecho y Cambio Social will be evaluated according to the criteria established in our editorial compliance program, which consists of structural, textual, ethical, and content requirements.

Submitted manuscripts, after preliminary verification, will be forwarded to ad hoc reviewers with appropriate expertise in the subject of the research and a doctoral degree for specialized evaluation.

Special emphasis will be placed on the relevance of the theme and chosen scope, the logical and argumentative structure of the work, the organization and structure of the article, the theoretical-philosophical and methodological appropriations made (support), the repertoire of bibliographic references (timeliness and relevance), the fluency and cohesion of ideas, and the quality of scientific writing.

Revista Derecho y Cambio Social conducts a careful evaluation of submitted manuscripts to preliminarily verify compliance with the established requirements.

2. Ethical Editorial Compliance
Authors must verify the submission’s compliance with ethical standards and the journal’s policies.

3. Open Access Policy
This journal provides its content freely and immediately, in line with the principle that free access to scientific knowledge promotes greater global democratization of information.

4. Periodicity
Revista Internacional Derecho y Cambio Social is published quarterly:
January - March / April - June / July - September / October - December.

5. Declaration of Uniqueness and Originality
Revista Derecho y Cambio Social only accepts scientific communication that is UNPUBLISHED and ORIGINAL, not previously proposed or simultaneously submitted to another journal, scientific event, or publisher (even partially), regardless of the publication format (print or electronic). CLICK HERE.

6. Editorial Flow
The Revista Derecho y Cambio Social prioritizes excellence in research and scientific communication, which is why it presents quality requirements that must be met for the proper processing of submissions.

This is a coordinated and planned process involving the organization, review, editing, and publication of content. The components of the editorial flow of Revista Derecho y Cambio Social include:

1st Submission to the journal
Development of Auditing Processes

2nd Preliminary evaluation to verify:
a) Adherence to the journal’s thematic scope;
b) Compliance with its guidelines and journal policies;
c) Authorship identification tracking, signs of plagiarism, and simultaneous publication.

Deadline for feedback if adjustments are needed: up to 30 days.

3rd Once compliance is verified, authors will be notified and authorized to pay the submission fee.
Deadline for fee payment confirmation: up to 5 days.

4th Once payment is made, reviewers (double-blind) will be assigned by the editor-in-chief, and the article will be forwarded.
Deadline for reviewers’ feedback: up to 60 days.

5th Review of opinions to verify compliance with the journal’s rules, based on the principles of TRANSPARENCY, MOTIVATED EDITORIAL DECISION, and PROFESSIONALISM.
Deadline for verification: up to 5 days.

6th Communication regarding the editorial decision and, if applicable, guidance on meeting the reviewers’ suggestions.
Deadline for feedback to authors: up to 15 days.

7th Forwarding to reviewers for re-evaluation and validation.
Deadline for feedback to authors: up to 45 days.

8th Acceptance communication and editorial scheduling.

9th Submission of the article to the revision team, with a deadline depending on the editorial schedule.

Maximum editorial flow time
200 days, with possible extension in cases of exceptionality, in which the authors will be informed. Authors can track the workflow through our Author Support Channel (CAA).

Revista DERECHO Y CAMBIO strictly adheres to this process, which is why it does not guarantee publication, only a fair, respectful, contributive, and reasoned evaluation. The concept of timeliness respects the availability of our reviewers, whose time and decision-making process we respect.

Thematic dossiers follow the same evaluation protocol. In these cases, a team is designated to assist the responsible organizer.

The publication of thematic dossiers requires the submission of a proposal, which must be approved by the journal’s administration and the Editorial Board by a simple majority.

8. Submission Rules

I - Manuscripts produced by up to four (4) authors will be accepted.

A) In the case of single authorship, a doctoral degree is required.

B) In the case of co-authorship, one of the authors must hold a doctoral degree.

C) Revista Derecho y Cambio Social does not accept manuscripts written exclusively by individuals with a master's degree, master's students, graduates, or undergraduate students.

II - All authors must have an ORCID id registration (https://orcid.org/).

III - Authors must provide information about the authors’ profiles: academic background, institutional affiliation, curriculum link (LATTES for Brazilian authors), professional and email addresses, phone number.

IV - If the submitted articles are approved, they must be translated into a foreign language different from the original submission (Portuguese, English, or Spanish). The responsibility and cost of translation, as well as its corresponding revision, must be borne by the article's author(s). The translated text must include credits for the professional responsible for the translation (name and email address).

V – Authors must submit UNPUBLISHED and ORIGINAL scientific manuscripts.

9. Manuscript Writing Rules
Articles must adhere to the following formal criteria:

a) The submitted file must be in Microsoft Word format.

b) Text versions submitted in Portuguese must be written according to the Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement.

c) The submission must follow the instructions necessary for the double-blind review, which implies no identification of the authors. The preliminary review conducted by the Editorial Team of Revista Derecho y Cambio will verify the presence of any information or elements that may allow authorship identification.

d) The title must not contain abbreviations and should be a maximum of 18 words (1.5 line spacing). If the title exceeds one line, the main title and subtitle can be separated by double spacing.

e) Title and subtitles aligned to the left.

f) The (ABSTRACT) section should be presented with an uppercase initial letter, bold, Times New Roman font, size 12, and centered.

g) The abstract corresponds to a summary of the research conducted and presented in the manuscript. Its length should not exceed 250 words and must include the following information: general objective, essential methodological aspects, results, and main conclusions. It should be concise, intelligible, comprehensive (restricted to the research), coherent, and non-evaluative.

h) The abstract should be presented in a single paragraph, justified alignment, Times New Roman font, size 10, no indentation, with single-line spacing.

i) The "Keywords" section should be written one line below the abstract, followed by a colon, indented at 1.20 cm, and presented as a normal paragraph.

j) Terms should be presented in lowercase (capital letters only for proper names), separated by commas, Times New Roman font, size 10.

k) Keywords must also be translated into English and Spanish (abstract and resumen, respectively), Times New Roman font, size 10, with single-line spacing.

l) The manuscript should follow this structure: INTRODUCTION, THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK or LITERATURE REVIEW, METHODOLOGY, PRESENTATION AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS, CONCLUSIONS, and REFERENCES.

m) Essays/Theoretical articles have an alternative structure: INTRODUCTION, THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK SECTIONS, CONCLUSIONS, and REFERENCES.

n) Section headings should be presented in uppercase, bold, Times New Roman font, size 12. The text should have 1.5 line spacing.

o) Margins: top, bottom, left, and right: 2.5 cm.

p) Paragraph alignment: justified.

q) Citation/references style: APA (American Psychological Association) standard.

r) Tables, charts, or figures must indicate the source (APA standard). If produced by the authors, they should be identified as follows: "Source: Own elaboration."

s) Page limit: 30. Each page contains 30 lines with up to 2,100 characters.

t) URLs linked to references must be provided when possible.
