Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The authorship identification of the work has been removed from the file and from the Properties option in Word, thus ensuring the confidentiality criteria of the journal if submitted for peer review, according to the instructions available in the Double Blind Peer Review section.
  • I declare to be aware that the journal is trilingual. Manuscripts written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish may be accepted. The title, abstract, and keywords must be in all three languages.
  • It is publicly stated that the submitted file is in Word format. And that any mention of the author(s), institution, research group, network, or research association has been removed.
  • It is publicly acknowledged that this journal charges a publication fee to maintain editorial services and the electronic system. In this case, only works approved in the peer review process.
  • I declare that the manuscript is original, the result of advanced research, and has not been published in any other journal.

Author Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Articles submitted to the Journal Derecho y Cambio Social will be evaluated according to the criteria established in our editorial compliance program, composed of structural, textual, ethical, and content requirements.

Submitted manuscripts, after preliminary verification, will be forwarded to ad hoc reviewers with appropriate expertise in the subject of the research and holding a doctoral degree, for specialized evaluation.

Special emphasis will be placed on the relevance of the theme and the chosen focus; the logical and argumentative structure of the work; the organization and structure of the article; the theoretical-philosophical and methodological appropriations (support); the repertoire of bibliographic references (currency and relevance); the fluency and cohesion of ideas, as well as the quality of scientific writing.

The Journal Derecho y Cambio Social conducts a careful evaluation of submitted manuscripts, aiming to preliminarily verify compliance with the established requirements.

Submission Rules

Here are the detailed standards for formatting and preparing original submissions:

  • Articles should be no longer than 30 pages.
  • Accepted languages include Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
  • Authorship is limited to a maximum of 6 authors per article.
  • The text should be formatted in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Figures and tables must be integrated into the text, editable, and presented in font size 10. Both the content and title of figures and tables must be in font size 10, with the title placed directly above the graphic elements and the content below.
  • The title of the article must be provided in Portuguese, English, and Spanish at the beginning of the file, using font size 14.
  • Abstracts and keywords should be included in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with single spacing, immediately below the title.
  • Citations and references must follow the standards established by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the guidelines of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT).
  • The submitted file should not contain any identification of the authors.

EDITORIAL COMPLIANCE IN CONTENT AND STRUCTURE

Authors should ensure that their submission complies with the aforementioned requirements. Submissions that do not conform to the guidelines of the Journal Derecho y Cambio Social will be justifiably returned. Before submitting the file, please ensure that the work meets the SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

Authors must ensure that their submission complies with ethical standards and requirements, as well as the journal's policies.

  5. Data Retention
    Personal information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by legal regulations.

    • The content of articles is the sole responsibility of the authors.
    • Full or partial reproduction of article content is permitted as long as the source is cited.
    • Articles containing plagiarism will be rejected, and the author will lose the right to publish in this journal.
    • Once submitted, authors transfer the copyright of their articles to the journal Derecho y Cambio Social.
    • If the author wishes to withdraw their submission, they have the right to request that the journal not publish their article. However, this request must occur at least two months before the publication of the issue in which the article is scheduled to appear.

  7. Changes to the Privacy Statement
